Encryption not supported on SQL Server

Hi,
I have a problem with Integration services. When connecting to
Integration services in Management studio and clicking on MSDB, I get
the error:
Encryption not supported on SQL Server. (Microsoft SQL Native Client)
Integration Services
This problem occured after all files were deleted by mistake from:
..\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA
SQL Server 2000 client tools(only) were also installed on the box.
There is one package installed in msdb that was working fine before.
Server: sql server 2005 Standard
OS: Windows 2003 Standard

I changed the file:MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml
and replaced the "." with the sql server name for the tag: <ServerName>
Restarted sql, agent and integration services but still get the same
error.

I also experienced the same error when I tried to configure the datasource property of my OLAP database. In the Data Source Properties dialog box, I've set the connection string and leave the security settings to its default value "ImpersonateServiceAccount" and the errors shows up when clicking the OK.

Empty Messagebox

Hi

When I start the MSQL Server Management Studio Express I get a Message Box with a yellow exclamation icon and NO message, just an OK button. Which when I press it goes away allowing me to logon to the Management Studiio.

All seems to be working fine (although I have not used it much since getting this strange behaviour).

I have re-installed Win XP Pro SP2, applied all patches from MS website, install is clean and no errors. Also downloaded latest SQLExpress Edition and as well as latest Server Management Studio.

Any ideas?

I'm moving this to the Tools group where the management studio folks hang out.

I recently installed Windows Live Local Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook which also installed .Net 1.1 (although it was already installed on my PC along with .Net 2.0). I then started to get the same empty message box when Management Studio started. I did a repair on .Net 2.0 and the empty message box has stopped.

This also occured after the install of SP2 for 2005 Developers Edition. (Blank message box with exclamation icon)

Repairing .Net 2.0 corrected the message.

I think it was caused by an update to the .Net 1.1 Framework that happened immediately following the install of SP2.

Empty dialog box on startup of Management Studio Express

Hi,
Everytime I start Studio Express I get an empty dialog box. I've seen some
posts about a similar problem but they were linked to upgrades. I have not
upgraded SQLExpress so there must be something else that causes it.
The only thing that I have done recently was to delete few users from a
database and instance.
I'm using SQLExpress 2005.
Any ideas what could be happening and how to troubleshoot this?

I would suggest removing and re-installing, but other posts say fixing .NET
Framework 2 .0 fixed it!

i'm really confused .. i use VS 2005, VB.NET, Crystal Reports and SQL Server Studio Managment as my DB..

My problem is i dont know where do i have to implement this report i want to produce .. its working hours for all employees showing by month ...

ex:

Jan-07 Feb-07 March-07 ......HrsSUM

joe 54 50 88 sum(hrs)

Sam 20 20 50 sum(hrs)

note : it doesnt always starts at jan-07 ... we have a "cut off date" which is the calculations start date till the end of the project (2010)

so its a crosstab query ... should i do that using crystal report , writing a function there to generate the months and create a crosstable ?(no idea how to do that).... or writing a VB code and pass it to the report ?

or just create a stored procedure in the DB to do that ?

i think the last one is wt should do it ... but i still dont know how

any help plz ,,,,,,,,

I would create a query to sum all the hours for each employee by month.

Then use crystal reports to generate the crosstab report and summation.
